About

scubabertAs a kid I always loved to draw, paint and design things thanks to strong influences from my Mom and Grandmother. I was quite interested in artists, especially van Gogh because I could not believe someone would actually cut off their ear on purpose. While I was in high school my favorite class was art, I joined art club and later on took photography classes and learned all the ins and outs of SLR cameras. In the Summer I interned with a professional freelance photographer who had published photos with many well known publications, such as Life Magazine. I think that was the first time I thought of the possibility of art as a career.

After hight school I was accepted into Rochester Institute of Technology’s photography program. There I discovered graphic design and I have loved it ever since. Where else can you be creative, work with cool people to help make their business stand out and get paid for it? I find it very satisfying. After switching my major I graduated RIT with a Bachelor of Fine and Applied Arts.

Much of my creative influence comes from other passions of my life. I am an avid SCUBA diver and spend a great deal of my free time diving all over New England and the world. Much of my time underwater is spent videoing or taking pictures of marine life. Some of my videos are posted on my YouTube Channel. In general, I just enjoy nature and much of what I experience fuels my creative and keeps me fresh.

It’s always exciting for me to take on a new project, listen to the scope of the project and deliver a superior product. Please feel free to take a look at samples of my work in my portfolio. My resumé and references are available upon request.
